WA hit a record 5,985.8 hours of ambulance ramping in September—nearly 250 days of patients stuck in ambulances outside hospitals.
At Rockingham General Hospital, Triage 4 patients now wait an average of 105 minutes for treatment, with 21 patients waiting at any time.
Wait times are up, and patient care is down and morale among health care professionals is low.
With WA’s healthy budget, it’s time for solutions, not more empty promises.
Rockingham deserves better!
Rockingham needs economic development and tourism opportunities.
Despite the Port Rockingham Marina Development's backing by private investors and widespread community support, the State Government has yet to respond formally to this project.
Over $6 million has already been invested in leases, environmental studies, traffic surveys, development approvals, and legal and accounting fees—all the groundwork is complete, and the applicant and community are ready for the next step. The Port Rockingham Marina is good to go.
I have a 3 point plan to make Rockingham safer.
In Rockingham, family assaults have jumped 26% since 2017
Breaches of VROs have increased by 33% across WA.
The current government has not boosted funding locally to meet our growing challenges.
As apart of my 3-point plan to make Rockingham safer, we require a fully resourced 24/7 police station.
This would mean quicker responses, less crime, and a safe place for those in need.
Residents demand a stronger, safer community.
I urge the DBCA to update the Shoalwater Island Marine Park management plan and the Penguin Island Management Plan, which is now 22 years old and outdated.
It's time for an independent inquiry into Penguin Island's years of mismanagement.
The continued inaction is simply unacceptable.
